Reception depends on two main factors: The coverage area of the satellite used (each satellite has its own broadcast area) and the size of your antenna. Near the edge of the coverage area, even a few hundred metres can make a difference. Remember that the further north you go, the more the antenna needs to be tilted, which may cause it to point towards the roof of the vehicle. If necessary, turn the vehicle to obtain a clear view to the south.

Yes, but it’s still only a backup solution. Without Wi-Fi, you’ll need at least stable 4G coverage, sufficient bandwidth, and a suitable data plan. In addition, your battery life is a key factor. These conditions limit the use of your smartphone as a replacement for television.

Here are some checks you should perform:

• Ensure that the area facing south is unobstructed.
• Check that the white lock nuts are tight on the red brackets (if present).
• Ensure that the antenna is properly retracted.
• After an impact or strong wind, check that the antenna is correctly positioned on the LNB and that the nuts are tightened securel.
• If the antenna reflector is deformed, replace it.

Some antennas have a white bolt underneath the nut that secures the red bracket. In the event of an impact, this part breaks to protect the antenna. You can order a replacement from our after-sales service. In the meantime, a nail or similar object can be used as a temporary fix.

Please note: sometimes the head remains stuck, giving the impression that the nut is intact.

This message may be caused by a number of factors:

• Insufficient voltage (in 90% of cases): Even if the batteries appear to be charged, the cable cross-section may be unsuitable.
  Consult online tables showing the appropriate cable cross-sections for different lengths.
• Loose F-connectors: The conductor may be too long or the shielding may be touching the conductor. See Koaxialkabel demontieren.

If the problem persists, try using a standard coaxial cable between the LNB and the demodulator.
If this works, please contact our Customer-service to find out what to do next.

All our antennas are fitted with safety devices to protect them from impacts or strong winds. If your antenna can no longer find the satellite, it may not be correctly aligned.

Tip: Make a note of the elevation angle at home. Whenever you travel south, you should note down the new elevation angle after approximately 200 km.

Calculation: New elevation angle – initial elevation angle = value that must be added (or subtracted when travelling north) every 200 km.

Example: If your starting point has an inclination of 36°, align the antenna to 90° (vertical) and then gradually tilt the satellite dish backwards until you reach 36°.

Check that there are no physical obstructions blocking the antenna and that the battery voltage is sufficient. Also ensure that the power cable is of a suitable gauge.

Follow these steps to adjust the sound:

• Open the menuGo to ‘System Settings’.
• Select “Output Settings” and press “OK”.
• Select “SPDIF Output” and choose “Auto”.
• Do the same for “HDMI Output”.
• Press the green button to save the settings.
• Press “Exit” to leave the menus.

If you have a PC4 card, you will need to apply for a new card from Fransat. Otherwise, you will be stuck on A2 or ARTE for about an hour without being able to change channels.

The MRA, SSC or MRE unit is compatible with all types of demodulators. Connect the coaxial cable to the input and connect the output of the MRA unit to the input of the demodulator using a second cable.
